Weight Management Clinic
Pediatric obesity is one of the most challenging and impactful health problems that we currently face. Obesity is a complex chronic disease. It affects the immediate and long term health of children. We know that children at an unhealthy weight are at greater risk for serious health problems, including hypertension, diabetes, liver disease and sleep apnea. In addition, children experience weight bias and stigma which can lead to a myriad of psychosocial difficulties such as anxiety and depression.
We aim to provide compassionate and comprehensive obesity management. We offer lifestyle and nutritional counselling, exercise programming and medication when appropriate. This is such an important issue and we endeavor to tackle it with the empathy and expertise that it deserves.
This will be run by Dr. Lisa Hill, who is board certified in obesity medicine and pediatrics.
